London 20th July 2020, Convergent Risks announced it was seeing a scheduled return to ‘On-Site’ operations across Europe. Convergent CEO Chris Johnson said: “We are delighted to have recently scheduled a number of on-site TPN security assessments in France, Belgium and Italy and of course London. We believe these will be the first, in person, assessments to take place since pandemic lockdown restrictions were relaxed within the EU.”
Convergent have been completing remote only technical assurance engagements and TPN assessments throughout the lockdown period. But this is the first positive step towards getting back on site, as the industry returns to production and content creation.
“We are experiencing a growing level of confidence and interest in getting back onto our client sites across Europe. Our scheduling team have been trained on the necessary steps for this to be done safely and we are ready to advise vendors on the necessary conditions. The safety and welfare of our assessors and partner resources is the priority and we have been working with vendors for some weeks
to agree the safety measures needed. As a result we have implemented a strict social distancing and PPE policy for both travel and site operations.”
The policy clearly sets out what can be expected of us and what we expect from the vendor facility. Providing the correct steps are taken, there is no reason why we cannot visit certain international locations where conditions and travel restrictions permit. As the leading provider of technical assurance to the media and entertainment industry Convergent is extremely grateful to its studio partners and vendor clients for their patience and support during the pandemic.” Johnson said.
